VI. Raiding - KB Article #88
Last updated on : 7/20/2009 6:19:00 PM

A) The Brotherhood strives to start raids promptly, with buffs and pulls started within 5 minutes of the raid start time. Considering this is a more adult oriented guild, our time is short and valuable. We do play this game as a means of entertainment, and as such want to make sure everyone is allowed to enjoy themselves as much as possible while playing.

B) Raid leaders will begin invites to the raid 15 minutes prior to the start time. If the member is not on by then the spot is forfeited and open for the raid leader to get a replacement. If there is a problem or delay getting to the raid instance make sure to inform the raid leader of your situation.

C) Any member who signs up to a raid but is not on at the time of invites will have their spot forfeited and a comparable replacement will be looked for. If forewarning is given to the raid leader prior to the raid start time about any tardiness, it will be up to the raid leader to allow his or her spot to stay reserved until deemed necessary to fill.

D) The raid leader has sole responsibility of inviting members to the raid and leading the raid. He/she may seek assistance from others as need. While suggestions are wanted, if not encouraged, they should be mentioned after the raid, or only if the raid leader asks for them at a certain time.

E) Everyone is expected to come to the raid prepared (food, pots, etc) and fully repaired.

F) Issues regarding invites or raid incidents should be raised after the raid.

G) During the raids everyone is expected to follow the raid leader’s directions and unless specified otherwise the raid leader will be the only person giving out orders.

H) A friendly and relaxed atmosphere is encouraged during trash clearing accompanied by the casual talk and jokes that can come with it. For boss encounters raid channels should be cleared and use only if totally needed. The only person giving out directions in vent should be the raid leader and the people appointed by the leader to help.

I) Raiding members are expected to raid with the guild when available however they are not required to attend every raid. Raiding with other guilds when an official raid is going and the member is needed is frowned upon. Depending on the circumstances it can be considered a violation.

J) Going AFK constantly is frowned upon and can result in a penalization towards your DKP acquired.  We encourage "smart" AFKing as to not hold up a raid.

Any violation of these rules will be considered a conduct violation and disciplinary actions can be taken accordingly as explained on section I.
