A) Sponsorship
For friend status the applicant can be sponsored by any guild member. For raiding status the applicant must be sponsored by someone with a raiding rank of raider or above. The sponsor serves as both a mentor for the app and is their responsibility that the applicant be familiar with the guild policies and the recruitment process. If there's issues raised about the applicant during the process the sponsor will convey these to the applicant while keeping the feedback anonymous. Sponsorships should not be taken lightly as they are the main point of contact between the guild and the applicants and it comes with an additional set of responsibilities.
B) Feedback on new applications
After an application is posted for review all members are encouraged to post their experiences with the applicant. Based on the feedback and the current guild needs a decision will be taken on the application. If there isn’t any feedback the application will be denied.
C) Feedback during the recruitment period
All members are expected to post their experiences with the applicants during the recruitment period so that everyone knows what to expect from the applicant and the strengths and weakness of these. If there are any issues raised it's the sponsor's responsibility to address those with the applicant in a discrete manner.
D) Feedback at the end of the recruitment period
All applications will be posted for review and feedback after the recruitment period ends. All the guild members are encouraged to give their impression of the candidate and decide if they would like to call the candidate a guild mate or not or if the candidate should be given an extension of the application period instead (which counts effectively as abstaining). For both negative and positive feedback all members must justify their decision (either personality, skill, gear or any other facts that helped come to the decision). At the end of the feedback period the thread will be locked and a final tally posted on the first post by the recruitment officer and an explanation of why a decision was made on the applicant. As a baseline the applicant is expected to have an acceptance rate of over 75%.The final decision will be made by the Officers / Guild Leaders and will be based on the quality of the feedback, attendance and any other aspects mentioned above.
