A) Requirements
1) An applicant must be sponsored by a current guild member if applying for raiding status. If the applicant can't find a sponsor the recruitment period will extend for an extra week. During this week the applicants are expected to interact (by doing instances, looking to help around, chit chatting, etc) with guild members. At the end of this period the application will be reevaluated and formally accepted or declined and a sponsor will be assigned by the recruitment officer.
2) The applicant must not be applying to any other guilds at the time of the application. Guild shopping constitutes immediate grounds for dismissal.
3) Must meet the class/spec/gear requirements of the guild, be max level and applying with their mains. Due to real life and needs changing at some points we’ll have needs for different classes and specs. All applications are welcomed at any time, however for classes that we don’t particularly have a need for at the time the requirements will be much higher and the skill of these applicants is expected to be exceptional; on the same line classes that are needed will have lower requirements than usual.
4) Complete the application (available at the application forum) and post it on the applications forum.
B) Conduct
All applicants are held to the same standards of conduct as guild members Any conduct by an applicant unbecoming a member of The Brotherhood that is brought to the attention of the officers will result in immediate application termination. Application termination as a result of bad conduct disallows future reapplying.
C) Process
1) After the application is finished it will be evaluated and subject to feedback from the guild members. A formal decision on the application will be taken in no longer than a week.
2) Accepted applicants will be invited to the guild on recruit status and earn full guild credit for raids attended, but will not be able to win items over guild members in good standing. Applicants are also encouraged to move their alts to the guild so that they can spend more time getting to know the guild members.
3) Once the recruitment period finishes the applicant will be reviewed once again by the leadership and guild members. An applicant needs to attend at least __% of raids to get to this phase. Unless there are any special circumstances the applicant will immediately fail this review if that requirement isn't met. A decision will be made based on the applicant attitude skill and performance during the recruitment period. This review phase takes a week on average however for exceptional candidates (either good or bad) a decision might be reached sooner.
4) If the application fails this initial feedback an extension of the recruitment period might be offered (usually an additional 30 days). If at the end of this period the application is denied again they are welcome to apply again after 3 months.
5) All new raiding members will be on probation period for 30 days. During this period probationary members need to keep their attendance at the same level it was during the recruitment period. Any violation on this period will result in dismissal from the guild.
6) Under special circumstances (RL issues for the most part) applications can be put on hold by the request of the applicant after it's approved by the guild officers. The length of this hold should not exceed 60 days. No reviews on the applicant will be held and the 30 day evaluation period will be restarted as soon as the process is resumed.
D) Group Applications
We prefer every individual to apply as such however at the same time we understand there are people with an extremely close bond that want to play together (couples for example). The main factor determine if you'd rather app as a group or individually comes down to these two questions
- If the other(s) person(s) do not get in and you do, will you automatically decline an invite without thinking about it twice?
- If the other(s) person(s) decide to leave the guild, will you follow immediately without having second thoughts?
For those that decide to apply as a group the following rules will apply:
1) Each of the applications on the grouped will be reviewed individually. At the end of the application period of any of the members fail the whole group will fail.
2) In case of a failed vote the group will be informed that they failed the vote but no details will be given as to which particular member(s) failed the votes.
3) If any member decides to reapply they will have to apply individually and go through the whole recruitment process again as individual applicants.
E) Friend Applications
Although The Brotherhood is a guild focused on progression and raiding we understand that not everyone enjoys raiding and plays on a more casual level. The more casual people are welcomed to join their friends in the guild under a different set of circumstances than full members.
1) They must acquire a sponsor (their friend or friends)
2) After a formal decision is made on the applicant they will be invited to the guild as friend status and will be on a permanent probation period. Any violation will result in dismissal from the guild.
3) Friend applicants can join raids and earn DKP as if they were full members if they meet the requirements for such raids however their invite priority is the lowest however.
4) If a friend wants to apply as a raider they must meet the requirements, reapply to the guild and go through the recruitment process.
5) In case the situation of an applicant changes to the point where the applicant would like to change the application from a raider application to a friend application the change must be requested no later 7 days before the recruitment period is over. Applicants that fail the recruitment phase will not be eligible for friend status.
